FILM HARUN YAHYA

Harun Yahya adalah nama pena Adnan Oktar yang lahir di Ankara pada tahun 1956. Sebagai seorang da'i dan ilmuwan terkemuka asal Turki, beliau sangat menjunjung tinggi nilai akhlaq dan mengabdikan hidupnya untuk mendakwahkan ajaran agama kepada masyarakat. ia dibesarkan di kota ini hingga lulus SMU. Komitment beliau terhadap Islam tumbuh semakin kuat ketika beliau duduk di bangku SMU. Pada periode ini, pengetahuan yang mendalam tentang Islam beliau dapatkan dari membaca berbagai buku-buku agama. Di samping itu, beliau juga memperoleh pemahaman tentang fakta-fakta penting lain yang kemudian beliau beritahukan kepada orang-orang di sekitarnya.

Pada tahun 1979, Adnan Oktar pindah ke Istanbul untuk menuntut ilmu di Universitas Mimar Sinan. Di masa inilah beliau mulai melaksanakan misi dakwah, menyeru manusia kepada akhlaq yang baik dan memerintahkan yang ma’ruf dan mencegah yang munkar.

Masa-masa di Universitas Mimar Sinan

Sejak sebelum Adnan Oktar memulai kuliah di Universitas Mimar Sinan, Istanbul, institusi pendidikan tersebut telah berada di bawah pengaruh berbagai organisasi ilegal berhaluan Marxisme, sehingga pemikiran kekirian tampak jelas mendominasi kampus. Setiap orang, apakah ia staf di sebuah fakultas ataupun mahasiswa, adalah sosok materialis yang berpola pikir atheis. Sungguh, para staf pengajar mengambil setiap kesempatan yang ada untuk menyebarkan filsafat materialistik dan Darwinisme dalam kuliah-kuliah yang mereka berikan kendatipun dua hal ini tidak ada hubungannya dengan topik kuliah mereka. Dalam lingkungan dimana ajaran agama dan akhlaq tidak dipedulikan dan sama sekali ditolak, Adnan Oktar menyeru orang-orang di sekitar beliau kepada keesaan dan keberadaan Allah. Sebagaimana mungkin telah dimaklumi, dalam kondisi demikian, Islam tidak diberi kesempatan untuk tumbuh berkembang. Ibu beliau, Ny. Mediha Oktar, menuturkan bahwa pada masa itu beliau hanya tidur beberapa jam saja di malam hari, sebagian besar sisa waktu beliau gunakan untuk membaca, membuat catatan dan menyimpan kumpulan catatan tersebut.

Search Tamasya Ke Surga Pengikut Hadits Huru Hara di Bulan Ramadhan (tahun 2012), Shahihkah?

Assalamualaikum wr.wb. Ust farid mohon penjelasannya utk hal dibawah ini dan apakah hadist yg diriwayatka oleh Nu'aim bin Hammad ini shohih ? Jazakallah khair

Cuba lihat kalendar untuk tahun 2012... 1 Ramadhan pada tahun 2012 jatuh pada 20 Julai iaitu hari Jumaat, jadi 3 Ogos 2012 bersamaan 15 Ramadan juga pada hari Jumaat. Sama dengan satu hadis Nabi SAW tentang huru hara besar yang akan terjadi pada tengah malam pertengahan Ramadhan iaitu hari Jumaat 15 Ramadhan di bumi ini. Huru hara yang akan mengejutkan semua orang yang sedang tidur... Satu suara yang amat dahsyat akan kita dengar dari langit, bukan kiamat tetapi huru hara tersebut akan melenyapkan umat manusia di atas muka bumi ini sebanyak 2/3, yang tinggal hanya 1/3 shj. ( Menurut kajian NASA, pada 21-12-2012 satu planet yg yang dikenali planet X akan melintasi bumi ) Adakah kita semua ni tergolong dalam 1/3 itu? Adakah peristiwa itu akn berlaku pada 2012?? Hanya ALLAH yang Maha Mengetahui..

Yang penting kita perbanyakkan ibadat dan berdoa agar kita termasuk dlm golongan yg dilindungi Allah, jika mati biarlah kita mati dlm Islam dan beriman.. Apa pun, peristiwa itu pasti akan berlaku mengikut hadis Nabi SAW di bawah..

Dari Nu'aim bin Hammad meriwayatkan dengan sanadnya bahawa Rasulullah SAW bersabda:
Bila telah muncul suara di bulan Ramadhan, maka akan terjadi huru-hara di bulan itul...". Kami bertanya: "Suara apakah, ya Rasulullah? " Beliau menjawab: "Suara keras di pertengahan bulan Ramadhan, pada malam Jumaat, akan muncul suara keras yang membangunkan orang tidur, menjadikan orang yang berdiri jatuh terduduk, para gadis keluar dari pingitannya, pada malam Jumaat di tahun terjadinya banyak gempa. Jika kalian telah melaksanakan solat Subuh pada hari Jumaat, masuklah kalian ke dalam rumah kalian, tutuplah pintu-pintunya, sumbatlah lubang-lubangnya, dan selimutilah diri kalian, sumbatlah telinga kalian. Jika kalian merasakan adanya suara menggelegar, maka bersujudlah kalian kepada Allah dan ucapkanlah: " Mahasuci Al-Quddus, Mahasuci Al-Quddus, Rabb kami Al-Quddus ", kerana barangsiapa melakukan hal itu akan selamat, tetapi barangsiapa yang tidak melakukan hal itu akan binasa". Bismillah wal hamdulillah wash Shalatu was Salamu ‘Ala Rasulillah wa ‘Ala Aalihi wa Ashhabihi wa Man waalah, wa ba’d:

Ada beberapa penanya yang menanyakan hal serupa kepada kami, dan katanya hadits ini sedang ramai beredar dibicarakan FB dan beberapa forum di internet.

Langsung saja ......., berikut ini adalah teks Arab hadits yang ditanyakan:

عن ابن مسعود قال قال رسول الله : - صلى الله عليه وسلم - إذا كانت صيحة فى رمضان فإنه يكون معمعة فى شوال وتمييز القبائل فى ذى القعدة وتسفك الدماء فى ذى الحجة والمحرم وما المحرم يقولها ثلاث مرات هيهات هيهات يقتل الناس فيه هرجا هرجا قلنا وما الصيحة يا رسول الله قال هدة فى النصف من رمضان ليلة الجمعة فتكون هدة توقظ النائم وتقعد القائم وتخرج العواتق من خدورهن فى ليلة جمعة فى سنة كثيرة الزلازل والبرد فإذا وافق شهر رمضان فى تلك السنة ليلة الجمعة فإذا صليتم الفجر من يوم الجمعة فى النصف من رمضان فادخلوا بيوتكم وأغلقوا أبوابكم وسدوا كواكم ودثروا أنفسكم وسدوا آذانكم فإذا أحسستم بالصيحة فخروا لله سجدا وقولوا سبحان القدوس سبحان القدوس ربنا القدوس فإنه من فعل ذلك نجا ومن لم يفعل هلك

Hadits ini terdapat dalam kitab Al Fitan, karya Nu’aim bin Hammad, Juz. 1, Hal. 228, No. 638. Juga kitab Kanzul ‘Ummal, karya Imam Alauddin Al Muttaqi Al Hindi No. 39627.

Sanad hadits tersebut sebagai berikut, berkata Nu’aim bin Hammad:

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ

Berkata kepada kami Abu Umar, dari Ibnu Luhai’ah, dia berkata: berkata kepadaku Abdul Wahhab bin Husain, dari Muhammad bin Tsabit Al Bunani, dari ayahnya, dari Al Haarits Al Hamdani, dari Ibnu Mas’ud Radhiallahu ‘Anhu, dari Nabi Shallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam: ... (lalu disebut hadits di atas)

Hadits ini memiliki banyak cacat, yakni pada semua perawinya –kecuali Ibnu Mas’ud Radhiallalhu ‘Anhu:

1. Nu’aim bin Hammad

Beliau termasuk seorang imam, beliaulah yang menyusun kitab Al Fitan sendiri, tetapi para imam hadits telah mengkritiknya dengan tajam. Tentang Beliau dan kitab Al Fitan, Imam Adz Dzahabi berkata:

لا يجوز لاحد أن يحتج به، وقد صنف كتاب " الفتن " فأتى فيه بعجائب ومناكير.

“Tidak boleh bagi seorang pun berhujjah dengannya, dan Dia telah menyusun kitab Al Fitan, yang di dalamnya terdapat banyak keanehan dan kemungkaran.” (As Siyar A’lamin Nubala, 10/609)

Imam An Nasa’i mengatakan: “Dia orang yang lemah (dhaif).” Imam Al Azdi mengatakan: “Dia termasuk orang yang memalsukan hadits demi membela sunah.” Imam Al ‘Abbas bin Mush’ab mengatakan dalam Tarikh-nya: “Dia memalsukan sebah buku untuk membantah kaum Jahmiyah.” Oleh karenanya Imam Adz Dzahabi mengatakan tentangnya: “Salah satu imam dunia, yang memiliki kelemahan dalam haditsnya.” (Lihat semua dalam Mizanul I’tidal, 4/267-269)

Ada yang menilainya jujur dan terpercaya, seperti Imam Yahya bin Ma’in, Imam Ahmad, dan Imam Al ‘Ijli, dan Imam Al Bukhari pernah mengambil hadits darinya. (Ibid) Namun dalam kitab yang lain Imam Ibnu Ma’in pernah mengkritiknya.

Dalam As Siyar disebut oleh Imam Adz Dzahabi, menurut Imam Al ‘Abbas bin Mush’ab bahwa Nu’aim bin Hammad telah memalsukan satu buku untuk membantah Imam Abu Hanifah dan Muhammad bin Al Hasan, serta memalsukan 13 buku untuk membantah kelompok Jahmiyah.

Shalih Al Jazarah dan Az Zuhri mengatakan, Nu’aim bin Hammad adalah seorang yang memiliki banyak hadits-hadits munkar yang tidak bisa diikuti. Imam Yahya bin Ma’in ditanya tentang haditsnya Nu’aim bin Hammad, beliau menjawab: “haditsnya bukan apa-apa (maksudnya jangan dianggap, pen).”

Ibnu Hammad Ad Daulabi mengatakan: “Nu’aim bin Hammad dhaif.” Ahmad bin Syu’aib, Ibnu Hammad, dan lainnya mengatakan: “Dia memalsukan hadits demi membela sunah, dan memalsukan hikayat para ulama tentang fitnahnya Abu Hanifah, semua adalah dusta.” Imam An Nasa’i mengatakan: “Dia telah memasuki batas sebagai orang yang tidak boleh dijadikan hujjah.”

Imam Ibnu Hibban berkata tentang dia: “Suka salah dan bimbang.” Ibnu Yunus mengatakan: “Dia meriwayatkan hadits-hadits munkar dari orang-orang yang bisa dpercaya.” (Lihat semua dalam Siyar A’lamin Nubala, 10/595 – 611)

2. Abu Umar

Inilah cacat kedua. Abu Umar, dia adalah Hammad bin Waqid Al ‘Isya Ash Shafar. Beliau adalah guru dari Nu’aim bin Hammad.

Abu Umar Hammad bin Waqid ini telah didhaifkan para ulama. Imam Yahya bin Ma’in mengatakan: “dhaif.” Imam Al Bukhari berkata: “munkarul hadits – haditsnya munkar.” Imam Abu Zur’ah dan lainnya: “Layyin –lemah.” Imam Al Fallas mengatakan: “Banyak salah dan wahm (bimbang/ragu).” (Lihat Al Mizan, 1/600)

3. Ibnu Lahi’ah

Beliau adalah rawi yang terkenal kelemahannya, yakni buruk pada sisi hapalannya, khususnya setelah buku-bukunya terbakar. Ishaq bin Isa mengatakan kitab-kitabnya terbakar pada tahun 169H.

Diceritakan bahwa Imam Yahya bin Said Al Qaththan sama sekali tidak mau menganggap hadits Ibnu Luhai’ah. Imam Abdurrahman bin Mahdi mengatakan: “Saya tidak membawakan haditsnya sedikit atau banyak.” Imam Muslim mencertakan bahwa Waki’, Yahya, dan Ibnu Mahdi meninggalkan hadits Ibnu Lahi’ah. Imam An Nasa’i mengatakan: “Laisa bitsiqah – bukan orang terpercaya.” Abdurrahman bin Kharrasy mengatakan: “Jangan ditulis haditsnya.” Abu Zur’ah dan Yahya bin Ma’in mengatakan: “Tidak bisa dijadikan hujjah.” Abu Ishaq Al Jauzajaani mengatakan: “Haditsnya tidak memiliki cayaha, tidak bisa dijadikan hujah, dan jangan diikuti.” (Lengkapnya lihat As Siyar, 8/11-31)

4. Abdul Wahhab bin Husain

Imam Al Hakim berkata tentang beliau: “Majhuul – tidak dikenal.” (Al Mustadrak No. 8590), Al Hafizh Ibnu Hajar juga berkata tentang beliau: “Majhuul .” (Lisanul Mizan, 4/87)

5. Muhammad bin Tsaabit Al Bunani

Imam Yahya bin Ma’in mengatakan: “Laisa biqawwi – tidak kuat.” Imam Abu Hatim mengatakan: “Tidak bisa dijadikan hujah dan haditsnya munkar.” Abu Zur’ah berkata: “Layyin – lemah.” (Imam Abdurrahman bin Abi Hatim, Al Jarh wat Ta’dil, 7/217)

Imam An Nasa’i mengatakan: “Dhaif. Imam Ibnu ‘Adi mengatakan: “haditsnya tidak bisa diikuti.” Imam Al Bukhari mengatakan: “Padanya ada yang pertimbangkan.” (Mizanul I’tidal, 3/495)

6. Al Haarits Al Hamdani

Dia adalah Al A’war (buta sebelah matanya). Kun-yahnya adalah Abu Zuhair. Dia juga lemah, bahkan sebagian menuduhnya sebagai pendusta.

Asy Sya’bi berkata: “Bercerita kepadaku Al Haarits Al A’war, dan dia adalah Kadzdzaab – pendusta.” Ibrahim berkata: “Dia tertuduh (sebagai pendusta).” Ibnu Al Madini berkata: “Kadzdzaab.” Yahya bin Ma’in mengatakan: “Dhaif.” An Nasa’i berkata: “Laisa bilqawwi – bukan orang kuat.” Ad Daruquthni mengatakan: “Dhaif.” Yahya Al Qaththan mengatakan: “Umumnya apa yang diriwayatkannya tidak terjaga.” Ibnu Hibban berkata: “Beliau orang yang ekstrim tasyayyu’ (condong ke syi’ah), dan haditsnya lemah.” (Mizanul I’tidal, 1/435-437)

Maka, betapa mengenaskan riwayat ini! Oleh karenanya para ulama seperti Imam Adz Dzahabi dalam At Talkhish, Imam Ibnul Qayyim dalam Al Manar Al Munif, Syaikh Al Albani dalam Adh Dhaifah menyebutkan bahwa ini adalah hadits palsu (maudhu’), dan hendaknya kita berhati-hati terhadap riwayat yang semisal ini. Membuat Installer Dengan WinRar (SFX archive)

Installer adalah sebuah aplikasi yang dimana untuk mengekstrak file yang dibungkus ke dalam file arsip seperti WinRAR atau WinZip ke folder yang dimana kamu letakkan direktorinya contohnya: C:\Program Files\(nama foldernya).

Membuat installer itu sangatlah mudah sekali,apalagi sudah mahir. Yang terutama adalah kita punya aplikasi khusus InstallerMaker seperti: Nullsoft Installer System (NSIS),WinRAR,dan masih banyak lagi.

Disini saya hanya akan memberikan tutor pengistallan yang mudah yaitu dengan WinRAR:

1. Pertama kamu harus punya WinRAR terlebih dahulu,jika tidak ada silahkan cari di Indowebster dengan menuliskan di keywordnya WinRAR 3.70 atau download dari http://www.winrar.com/.

2. Setelah itu installah WinRARnya,kemudian buka folder yang kalian mau dibikin installernya.

3. Kemudian pilih semua file yang mau dibikin installernya dengan menekan tombol pintasnya Ctrl + A.

4. Kemudian pointer komputer kamu harus berada pada posisi file yang sudah dipilih yang dilanjuti dengan mengklik mouse kanan dan pilih “Add to archive…”.

5. Setelah itu pada kotak dialog muncul beberapa pilihan pada kotak “Archiving options” dan pilih “Create SFX archive”.

6. Setelah itu klik .RAR pada kotak Archive format. Kenapa pilih .rar? karena ada perbedaan antara file arsip .rar dengan .zip yaitu file arsip .rar biasanya kompresan file kuat jadi bisa makan ratio kompresan sampai 50%,semakin kurang ratio kompresan maka membuat muatan file arsipnya kecil dan jadi mudah dipindahkan ke direktori mana saja.

7. Setelah itu pilih “Advanced” untuk mengatur mode installer yang akan di buat.

8. Setelah itu klik button “SFX options” untuk mengatur rancangannya.

9. Pada pilihan General isi kotak Path to extrac dan isikan dengan tulisan C:\Program Files\(nama foldernya).

10. Pilih Advanced untuk membuat shorcut,dengan klik button Add shortcut…

11. Pada kotak dialog add shortcut pilihlah dimana shortcutnya dibuat pada Where to create.

12. Kemudian pilih Desktop jika kamu ingin muncul jalan pintasnya di depan layar komputer.

13. Isilah source file name yaitu file aplikasi dasar dimana yang ada pada folder program kamu.contoh: Application.exe,maka pada kotak source file name tersebut kamu isikan yang sama dengan nama file aslinya.

14. Isi shortcut name dengan menuliskan nama file pintas yang kamu inginkan. Jika sudah klik Ok

15. Jika ada lagi yang mau dibuat shortcutnya,klik lagi add to shortcutnya. Jika mau dibikin ke folder start pilih Start Menu/Program dan caranya sama dengan tutor dari nomor 13 dan 14.

16. Kemudian pilih “Text and icon” untuk mengisi rancangan lainnya.

17. Isi Title of SFX window untuk mengisi nama installernya.

18. Isi Text to display in SFX window untuk mengisi petunjuknya.

19. Kemudian pada kotak Customize SFX logo and icon pilih browse pada kotak “Load SFX logo from the file” itu untuk apa?,yaitu untuk memasukan mode gambar pada installer kamu. Filenya harus berformat .bmp ukurannya disarankan 100 x 300 juga muatannya maksimal 300 kb.

20. Setelah itu pilih browse pada kotak “Load SFX icon from the file” untuk apa juga?,yaitu untuk membuat tampilan ikon gambar installer kamu. Filenya harus asli yang berformat .ico,bukan file dari .bmp terus diubah formatnya menjadi .ico paham?.

21. Pilih License untuk membuat tampilan installer kamu lebih menarik dengan lilensi atau ketentuan syarat sah untuk pemakai.

22. Isilah judul lilensinya yang dilanjutkan mengisi isi lilensinya.

23. Kemudian jika ada lagi yang diisikan atau diatur silahkan kamu atur sendiri,kenapa?,karena disini saya hanya memberi tutor yang mudahnya saja. (It’s only easy)

24. Setelah itu klik Ok untuk SFX options dan kemudian klik Ok lagi pada kotak dialog WinRARnya.

25. Tunggulah sampai beberapa saat sampai selesai.

Pagination with Code Igniter

There are times when you may have to either split an article or a set of results lets say from a database query to span multiple pages. In times like those you will need to write some sort of pagination script. This can be a little overwhelming for developers who have never done something like that before, but with Code Igniter its a cinch to do.
Code Igniter comes with a Pagination class that is pretty easy to use and implement. In this tutorial I’ll do a quick example of returning a set of results from a database and paginating those results. I’ll be using the latest version of CI, which, as of this article is version 1.5.1. While the Pagination class hasn’t changed from the previous versions (at least not to my knowledge), it’s always good to use the latest stable version of the framework. So let’s get started.

Configuration and Database Setup

Okay, as usual, whenever we are starting a CI application, there are a few things we have to setup. First we open our config.php file (which can be found in /system/application/config/). Here we will enter our Base Site URL. This is what I set mine as:

For you it will probably be something slightly different.
This application will be using a database, so our next step is to create that database and then give CI access to our database. To do this open database.php, which is also located in your config folder and put in the necessary information to connect to your database. You may download the “sample code”: for this tutorial and use my example database if you would like. It will create a table called ‘christian_books‘ and insert some test data to help with this tutorial. With that said I suppose you can now guess what we will be paginating. If you guessed some Christian Books then you would be correct.

The Controller

With our basic configuration files and database setup now complete we’ll need to create a controller. I will call mine ‘books.php‘ and it will contain the following code:

If you read through the Introduction to CI series I recently did then you may notice a few things here that are familiar. If you didn’t and are new to CI then feel free to go through that three part series and then return to this one. If you are already up to speed, then let us continue and have a look through the code above in more detail.
First we have our constructor in which we load our URL Helper and Database. Of course, you don’t have to create a constructor and load those helpers, as it you can easily load them in other the functions/methods in your controller, however, if the helpers are going to be used throughout most/all of the methods in the controller then I usually prefer to create a constructor and place them there.
Next we created one method called index(). This is a pretty basic application and as such we’ll only be needing this single method in which we loaded the pagination class, model and html table class (which we will discuss a little later in this tutorial).
Let us begin with the Pagination class, which, as you will see is very simple to use. First we configure the base URL of the web page to be paginated:

$config['base_url'] = base_url().'index.php/books/index/';

This base_url is not to be confused with the base_url() function I used in the assignment of the $config[] array. The base_url() function comes from the URL Helper and it represents the URL for the application on a whole. Concatenated to that is the remainder of the URL necessary to reference the web page to be paginated.
Next we configure the total number of rows in our database:

$config['total_rows'] = $this->db->count_all('christian_books');

Since I am returning all the rows in my database then this function will do fine, however, if you were running a specific query that will return some and not necessarily all the rows then you would probably want to use the $query->num_rows() function found in the set of result helper functions.
The $config['per_page'] variable simply tells the Pagination Class how many results to display on each page. And the $config['full_tag_open'] and $config['full_tag_close'] variables state what tags to use to surround the pagination links.
Next we load our model, which we will create shortly and execute one of its methods, get_books(). It takes in two arguments, the limit, which determines how many items to display on each page and an offset which will tell it what row to start returning results from. You will notice that the first argument (the limit) gets it’s value from the $config['per_page'] variable, while, the second argument gets its value from the 3rd segment of the URL via another URL helper function, $this->uri->segment(3). The latter is very interesting and here’s why. CI’s URLs usually take the following form, www.your-site.com/index.php/class/function/ID, so as you can see the 3rd segment (after index.php) represents the ID. So lets take for example the following URL:
http://localhost/~yannick/pagination/index.php/books/index/10
The 3rd segment would be 10 and when inserted as the 2nd argument of our model function get_books(5, 10) it represents the offset. So in other words our results will return the next 5 records (since our results per page is 5, based on the code shown earlier) after the first 10 records in our database. Pretty neat, right? Okay, let’s stop here for now as we will talk about this in a little more detail the next section.
Now here’s something new. Here we are loading the HTML Table Class, which was a new addition to CI in Version 1.5.0. This class allows you to generate HTML tables from arrays or database results. There are quite a few customizations you can make, however for the purposes of this example I’m using it in it’s basic form with one exception, I’m specifying explicitly what the headings of the table should be.

$this->table->set_heading('ID', 'Title', 'Author', 'Description');

If I didn’t specify this, the HTML Table Class would use the table names as they are in the database table. So if for example you had a column name ‘book_id‘ in your database table, then the table class would use ‘book_id‘. Chances are, you don’t want it to be displayed like that, so the above snippet of code allows you to specify a more readable name for the column.
Lastly, we load our ‘View’ and pass it any necessary data that we will use. And there you have it, our controller is now done. Let us now take a look at our model and see what roll it plays in pagination.

The Model

Ok, so you may recall that the Model works with information in your database. In this Pagination tutorial our model will contain a method that deals with retrieving the correct results from our database based on the page that the user requested. As you saw in the controller the method will have two arguments, one for the limit and the other for the offset. So we create a file called ‘books_model.php‘ and the code in that file will be as follows:

As you can see, we called our model ‘books_model‘ and our method get_books(), since this tutorial contains a database filled with books and we want to get those books and display them on screen. You will notice we called the two arguments to get_books(), $num and $offset respectively. $num specifies the number of results to retrieve from the database and $offset specifies where it should start retrieving results from.

$query = $this->db->get('christian_books', $num, $offset);

The above code will produce the following query in MySQL (for example):

SELECT * FROM christian_books LIMIT 10, 5

Five (5) represents $num and Ten (10) represents $offset. That’s all there is to it. We store those results in a variable called $query and then return that variable to anything that calls that method. And with that our model is now complete.
We are 2/3 of the way there. The last thing we need to do is to create our view.

The View

Remember a View is simply a web page or a page fragment. So our view in this case is a web page that displays our books in a table. Let’s have a look at the code:

You may be thinking, ‘Surely that can’t be it.’ Yeah that’s all there is to creating the view for this tutorial.

By passing the results we obtained from our model to the generate() method it will create the HTML necessary to display our table containing our books.

Next we have our Pagination create_links() method, which does exactly what it says. It creates the links to the various pages including ‘Next’ and ‘Previous’ links. It will look a little something like this:

Now visit your web page and have fun playing around with the Pagination. Also as you switch from page to page, watch how the URL changes and the 3rd segment represents the offset of the results displayed in the table.

Summary

Well there you have it, a quick introduction to the Pagination Class and as you have seen it’s not that difficult to add pagination to your application in CI. You were also introduced to the new HTML Table Class added in version 1.5.0. Again it wasn’t too difficult. With this Library we were able to whip up a quick HTML table to display our results.

Plugins Word To Pdf MsOffice2007

PDF (Portable Document Format) adalah sebuah format berkas yang dibuat oleh Adobe System pada tahun 1993 untuk keperluan pertukaran dokumen digital. Format PDF digunakan untuk merepresentasikan dokumen dua dimensi yang meliputi teks, huruf, citra dan grafik vektor dua dimensi. Pada Acrobat 3-D, kemampuan PDF juga meliputi pembacaan dokumen tiga dimensi. PDF telah menjadi standar ISO pada tanggal 1 Juli 2008 dengan kode ISO 32000-1:2008.

Format file PDF biasanya digunakan untuk mempublikasikan sebuah dokumen. File ini memiliki banyak kelebihan jika dibandingkan file dokumen seperti dokumen word. Kelebihan yang sangat menonjol adalah karena ukurannya yang jauh lebih kecil dari file word aslinya sehingga sangat cocok digunakan untuk publikasi dokumen, dan pengiriman dokumen.

Ada cara mudah dan cepat untuk memformat file .doc menjadi file .pdf, yaitu dengan menggunakan Plugins Word To PDF di MS Office 2007, dan silahkan download di link ini.

Setelah plugins di install maka otomatis MS Word kita akan bisa merubah file word(doc, docx) ke dalam format pdf dan xps sehingga kita tidak susah-susah lagi menginstall program untuk konversi dari word ke pdf. Apalagi kalo ketikan kita berformat .docx sehingga hanya word 2007 sendiri yg bisa merubah format tersebut ke dalam format pdf atau xps.

Setelah mendownload file plugins tersebut, lalu install sebagaimana biasa. Setelah itu kita bisa melihat perubahan di MS Word 2007 pada bagian Save As…Semula pilihan Save As berwarna redup(alias belom berfungsi), tapi setelah kita install plugins-nya maka pilihan ini akan berwarna cerah alias bisa digunakan. Jika kita ingin mengubah format Word ke PDF ato XPS maka kita tinggal membuka tulisan word kita dengan Word 2007 lalu pilih Save As PDF ato XPS.

Kelebihan Plugins Word To PDF di MS Office 2007 yaitu proses konversi dari word ke pdf atau xps ini lebih cepat mengubahnya bila dibandingkan dengan menggunakan Acrobat Professional, Foxit, atau software lainnya.

Mengaktifkan Sindikat RSS Feed Anda

Bagaimanakah cara untuk menampilkan RSS Feed pada situs yang dibuat dengan Joomla? Apakah harus menginstall plugin tambahan? Mungkin ini sering menjadi pertanyaan bagi Anda yang telah selesai membuat situs tapi bingung kok Joomla tidak ada RSS Feed-nya seperti pada WordPress.
Joomla memiliki built-in module untuk membuat dan menampilkan RSS Feed (syndication) pada situs yaitu mod_syndicate. Apabila Anda tidak menginstall SAMPLE DATA pada saat instalasi situs, module ini default-nya tidak aktif.

Anda harus mengaktifkan module ini terlebih dulu agar bisa menampilkan RSS Feed pada situs Anda.

Untuk Joomla 1.5 caranya adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Klik menu Extensions – Module Manager.
2. Klik tombol New pada toolbar.
3. Pilih module dengan nama Syndicate lalu klik tombol Next.
4. Isikan kolom Title, misalnya Sindikasi lalu klik tombol Save.

Ada dua format sindikasi yang bisa Anda pilih yaitu RSS 2.0 dan Atom 1.0.

Setelah modul tersebut aktif Anda bisa mengakses RSS feed tersebut dengan mengklik logo rss pada module anda.

Introduction to Code Igniter: Part 3

In Parts 1 and 2 of this Introduction to Code Igniter, I went through a few of the basics and also touched on the E-mail and Validation classes that are included with the framework. I would like to continue by giving you a glimpse of the Database class and how easy it is to insert and select data from a database using CI. Before we begin though we have a little updating to do.

Updating CI

Since the last tutorial there have been two updates to CI. There was a giant leap from version 1.3.3 to 1.4.0 and then another update to version 1.4.1. Quite a number of features were added and bugs fixed. While none of the new features/bug fixes affect this tutorial (well at least not to my knowledge), I have updated to version 1.4.1 and encourage you to do the same. For more information on what was changed, view the changelog and for instructions on updating, view the Upgrading from a Previous Version document.

Setting up CI to work with your Database

Since this tutorial will be connecting to, inserting and retrieving information from a database, we will need to setup our database. I have created a .sql file that you can use (It is included in the downloadable code for this tutorial) or you can create it yourself.

Models

As I mentioned in Part 1 of the tutorial, Models generally contain database functions such as inserting, deleting, updating and retrieving information from your database. It is part of the trio that is the Model-View-Controller approach to application development.
With CI it isn’t absolutely a must to create models. In fact you can put your database queries right in your controllers, however, I would like to keep in the true spirit of MVC and keep them separated.
We will now create a model for application. Fire up your favourite text editor and insert the following:

Now save the file as form_model.php in the models directory of your application folder.
As you can see I have three methods (functions) in my form model. The first is simply a constructor, similar to what you have used when we created our controller in the previous tutorials. The second method is what we will use to insert the form data into our database. I called it add_participant() since that is exactly what we are doing, adding someone who would like to participate (take part) in one or more seminars. The third and final function, list_participants() is what we will use to list our participants and this we will take a look at a little later.
Everything there should be pretty straightforward except for the array_pad() function. Since the checkboxes that are selected are stored as an array and the size of the array can vary between 0-4, I wanted to store each item of the array in it’s own column in the database. But what happens when I call index 3 of the array and the array only has 2 items? I will get an error, so I used the array_pad() function to ensure that if the array has less than 4 elements it will pad/fill the empty spaces with “not chosen” and assign those to variables to be put into the database. Now I know you might be saying, “But surely there are better ways to do that?” I agree with you, there are other ways, but this is the method I chose for this example. Don’t let me spoil your fun though, feel free to use your method of choice.

Using your Models

Okay, now that we have created our model, the question you may ask is “How do I use it?” The answer to that is what I will touch on now.
We are going to load our model in our controller so open form.php in the controllers folder and add the following after $this->email->send(); in the index() method:

The first line loads our model called Form_model (which is the first parameter). The second parameter allows you to assign a different object name for your model. The third parameter, when set to TRUE lets the model auto connect to the database.
The second line calls the add_participant() method that we created in our model and runs the actions we specified in that method.
That’s it! Now go to the form (http://localhost/regform/), fill it out and providing you got your success page (that we created in the previous tutorials) you can check your database and see what was submitted. Feel free to populate your database with a few more entries.

Retrieving information from a Database

Of course this tutorial wouldn’t be complete without us retrieving some information from the database and displaying it. So let’s get to it, it’s quite simple.
You might remember the third function in the Form Model called list_participant(). This is what we will use to retrieve our data from the database.

No magic here, just a simple SELECT query is all it takes and the result will be returned to whatever calls it.
Now open form.php again from in the controllers folder and lets create another method called results(). It will look a little something like this:

This is all pretty standard stuff for any PHP programmer. I created the table that my results will be displayed in and around one row I essentially created a loop. So for each result, I assign it the name $row and each row has various columns that I refer to like so, $row->id, where id corresponds to the actual id column in the database and so on for the other columns. The if($query->num_rows() > 0): line, simply says that as long as there are more than 0 rows returned, then display a table row for each one, otherwise don’t create any table rows.

Summary

And there you have it, just like that we have created a mini application that taught you some of the basics of Code Igniter, gave you a brief overview of the E-mail and Validation classes and also a look into CI’s Database class and how to use Models. Also while I didn’t go through it in this tutorial, CI does have a modified version of the Active Record Database Pattern that allows information to be retrieved, inserted, and updated in your database with minimal scripting. More information on CI’s implementation can be found in the documention.

Introduction to Code Igniter: Part 2

In Part 1 of this introduction to the PHP framework Code Igniter we went through a few of the basics of CI. We created our first controller, a view and went into some of the form functions that are available in our form helper. In this installment I've decided to focus on being able to extend the functionality of the registration form we created in Part 1 by having it send the completed form data to an e-mail address using CI's E-mail class and also put some validation in place using CI's Validation class so that certain fields are required are filled in properly. I know your itching to get started so let's go!

A slight fix

While working on part 2 I realised I had made a slight error when I was creating the checkboxes for the registration form. Since we are using checkboxes we are allowing the participant to select more than one seminar, therefore we need to have the name attribute like this name="seminar[]" instead of name="seminar". This will allow PHP to store all the selected seminars in an array. Also I forgot to add values to the checkboxes. This is important as when we are sending the e-mail (and later adding to a database) we would like actually see the name of the seminars chosen to be listed. So this is how your controller should now look:

Now back to the show

With that small error now fixed lets get crackin'. You might remember from Part 1 that we had told CI to autoload our E-mail class. We didn't actually have to do it that way. In fact since we are only using the e-mail class when we submit the form we could have just as easily loaded it in the function that deals with form submission. In cases like that you use the following:

$this->load->library('email');

If however you are going to be using a particular script, library or helper frequently in your application then it would be best to autoload it. For the sake of this tutorial I will leave it autoloaded.
Before we go any further we have to make another minor change to ensure that our e-mails will be sent. If you have access to your php.ini file then open it up and look for the section that says [mail function]. If you are using Windows (like I am) then make changes to the following lines:

SMTP = mail.yourmailserver.com

and

sendmail_from = whatever@yourmailserver.com

As for users of Linux and Mac, I think, though I'm not 100% sure, you will need to make a change to the line just below those two:

sendmail_path =

Ensure that you remove the semicolon (;) before any of those lines that you have changed. The semicolon reperesents a comment in the php.ini file. Save the changes you just made to the php.ini file.
Now with all of that technical mumbo jumbo out of the way, let's create our submit function that deals with sending the e-mail. It will look something like this:

Pretty simple right? Yup it's just that simple. And in fact most of it is pretty self explanatory, but I will still go through it anyway.

$fname = $this->input->post('fname');

This is doing basically the same thing that $fname = $_POST['fname'] would be doing except it checks to see if the item is set and returns false if not.

$this->email->from($email, $fname);

takes in two parameters. The first is the e-mail address of the sender and the second is the name of the sender.

$this->email->to('john.doe@welovejesus.com');

will send the e-mail to the specified address. This of course will be changed to your e-mail address or whoever will be receiving the participants submitted data.

$this->email->subject('Seminar Registration');

is the subject of the e-mail to be sent.

$this->email->message($message);

is the message body of the e-mail which we specified in our $message variable.

$this->email->send();

basically gives the go ahead to send the e-mail.
Now we are going to create our view called formsuccess.php which will be displayed when the e-mail has been sent so that we know everything went through okay. Here is the code:

Note: Take out the spaces between the opening "<" and the element name.
Save that file in your views folder. Now open your browser and fill out the registration form at http://localhost/regform/index.php/form . After hitting the submit button you should see your success page. Check your e-mail and you should see the submitted data.
That's all good and well but what if we wanted to ensure that certain fields were filled out? CI comes with validation support built right in. Next we'll validate some of our form fields.

Validations

Validating form data is one of those things that no one really likes to do, but it has to be done. With CI that task is a bit easier to do with it's built in Validation class. Let us first add the following to our controller in the index() function:

$this->validation->set_rules($rules);

We have first loaded the validation class and then we have set the rules we would like it to check for. The required rule simply checks to ensure that the fname input field is filled in. While the valid_email rule, ensures that a valid e-mail address (with the @ sign) is entered.
Previously we had declared the view for the current function, like so:

$this->load->view('form_view', $data);

We will change that instead to the following:

What this does is that if there is a validation error, it will reload the form, so that the user can correct that error, else it will display our success page. Now let us make a few changes to our view. Change:

echo form_open('form/submit');

echo form_open('form/index');

What that does is that on submission it will submit the form data to itself (ie. the index() function in our controller) where it can do the necessary validation checks as specified by the rules in our index() function. Also, just above our form_open() function in our view we will add the following:

echo $this->validation->error_string;

This is responsible for displaying our error message, so the user knows where they went wrong. With all that done give the form a try without filling in the fname and/or email input fields. Also try putting in an e-mail address without the "@" symbol. Once you are satisfied fill out the form correctly and submit. It works but wait, it didn't send the e-mail. The answer to why it didn't send the e-mail lies in the fact that when all requried fields are filled out the form data is no longer passed to the submit() function in our controller and is essentially just displaying the success page only. To solve that it's simply a matter of copying the code we had in our submit() function and pasting it in the else statement in our index() function.

Summary

In Part 1 we covered some of the basics of using CI and created our registration form. In Part 2 we went a little further by using CI's E-mail class to send the submitted form data to an e-mail address of our choice and also did some simple validations to ensure that certain fields were filled out properly. In our third and final part we will take a look at enabling CI to connect to a database and insert/view our submitted data to/from the database.

Introduction to Code Igniter: Part 1

What is Code Igniter?

With all the buzz lately being about Ruby on Rails and more recently Django, there has been a little fire burning in the PHP camp and I’m not talking about an argument or any hatred towards Rails or Django. Oh no, I am speaking about a new PHP framework called Code Igniter. What is Code Igniter you ask?

Code Igniter is an Open Source Web Application Framework
that makes writing kick-ass PHP programs simple as apple pie.

It is developed by the fine people over at pMachine, creators of the Expression Engine CMS. Code Igniter (CI) uses the Model-View-Controller (MVC) approach similar to that of Ruby on Rails. However, it is a bit loose in it’s approach to MVC as a model does not have to be used. CI is lightweight, which means it starts you off with just the basic libraries and you can load more if needed. Speaking of libraries, CI comes with a nice selection of libraries to get you going quickly, such as connecting to a database, sending email, validating form data, maintaining sessions, manipulating images, and more. Another thing to keep in mind is that CI’s user guide is superb and the forums are alive with people who are more than willing to help. Both will prove to be invaluable when starting out!

Let’s get Started

Now that you know what CI is, lets take a little look at it’s structure. First of all you will need to download CI. Unlike RoR you don’t need to install anything, as long as you have a webserver with php and mysql you are pretty much good to go. There is also no need to type anything at the command line, which some might be a little more comfortable with.
Now that you have the files drop them into a folder on your webserver. I will call mine regform since I will be showing you how to do a simple registration form for some seminars that sends an e-mail to the organizers and also saves to a database on submission. You will notice that you have a folder called system. This contains everything you will need to use CI. In the system folder there are other folders, but we will only concern ourself with the application folder, since that is where all our views, controllers and models are kept.

Within that application folder you have:

Config – deals with the setting up of your database connection, base URL, auto loader (which loads other classes and helper functions as well as plugins) and routes.
Controllers – are like traffic cops, directing requests to the proper models and views.
Errors – deals with your 404 errors.
Models – contains database functions such as inserting, deleting, updating and retrieving information from your database.
Scripts – a place to store your own script includes or classes.
Views – which are the pages your visitors will see.

Ok now I know you are itching to get to the coding aspect, but please bear with me as we get a few things setup that will help us later. Open the config folder and then open config.php. At about line 14 you should see:

$config['base_url'] = "http://www.your-site.com/";

Edit this replacing http://www.your-site.com/ with your URL. In my case, since I am working on this tutorial locally, mine will look like this:

$config['base_url'] = "http://localhost/regform";

Now save that file and open autoload.php. On line 42, let’s add the e-mail core class:

$autoload['core'] = array('email');

and on line 54 let’s add the form and url helpers.

$autoload['helper'] = array('url', 'form');

and you can save that file. The reason for adding the e-mail core class is pretty obvious since one of the features of our registration form is to notify the organizers when someone has submitted a completed form. The reason for adding the url and form helpers, however, might not be so clear. You may be thinking to yourself, “Hey I can code this normally using HTML and PHP.” Sure you can, but by adding these that process can be done quicker.

Controllers

With those core classes and helpers now loaded, let us create our first controller. Create a new php file called form.php with the following code and save it to your controllers folder.

Now go to http://localhost/regform/index.php/form or whatever your base URL is with “/index.php/form” after it. You should see “Jesus Rocks!” printed on your screen. Cool huh? Okay, maybe it’s not that cool, so lets take it a bit further by adding something more dynamic and also creating a view. But before we do that, I’m sure you’re wondering why we have “index.php” in our URL. Surely that can’t be a “clean” URL. While it’s not the cleanest, that is the default way CI handles URL’s, however, the index.php can be removed by using adding some rules to an .htaccess file. For the sake of this tutorial though we won’t be doing that.
We can now remove the echo statement from the index function in our controller and instead replace it with the following:

Essentially what we are doing here is creating an array of variables which themselves contain an array of data which we will use in our view. The values in our $data array’s represent our variables and the attribute and value pairs in the respective arrays will be used to construct our form elements as we will see next. Also the last line of our function deals with loading our view and importing our data array so that we can use our variables.

Views

Create a new file called form_view.php and save it in the views folder. Enter the following HTML code:

Looking at the code, you will notice that we have some snippets of php code that represent our form elements. Those are CI’s functions and they became available to us when we loaded the form helper in our config.php file. $form_open(‘form/submit’) creates your opening form element and the form/submit represents the action attribute that you would normally use in a <form> tag, with form being our controller and submit being our function that deals with submitting our form(which we will create in Part 2). form_input($fname) creates an input field for our form with the attributes and values that we specified in our $data['fname'] array in our controller. As for form_checkbox($purpose), that is pretty similar to the form_input() function except it creates a checkbox instead. With form_submit('submit', 'Submit') a submit button is created with type attribute “submit” and value attribute “Submit”. And form_close() simply represents </form>. I know..I know it probably is simpler to just use the </form> as opposed to the PHP equivalent, but you can decide which you prefer.
Ok, now that we’ve finished our form, lets see what it looks like. Open up http://localhost/regform/index.php/form and you should see your form. It doesn’t look pretty but it’s certainly a start.

Sony HMZ-T1 3D, TV 3D Yang Nempel Di Kepala Dengan Teknologi OLED

Sony baru saja memperkenalkan sebuah teknologi mutakhir, yakni sebuah televisi 3D yang dapat dipakai dengan sangat praktis, cukup dipasang dikepala. HMZ-T1, adalah teknologi TV 3D dengan menggunakan layar OLED yang umumnya dipakai untuk perangkat ponsel.

Selain itu, meskipun posisi layarnya berada sangat dekat dengan mata, gadget ini tidak akan membuat kepala pusing, tidak seperti ketika menggunakan kacamata 3D.

Sebelumnya, Sony telah memperkenalkan konsep produk ini pada Januari lalu pada sebuah pameran di Las Vegas. Namun kebanyakan orang pada saat itu mengatakan bahwa konsep tersebut adalah konsep yang mengada-ada. Nah kini Sony membuktikan bahwa konsep itu bukanlah omong kosong belaka.

Televisi ini dijual dengan harga 800 USD atau sekitar 6 juta rupiah. Sebagai langkah awal, Sony akan merilis produk ini di London dan akan dijual secara bebas di seluruh dunia pada tahun ini. Tunggu saja kedatangannya di Indonesia.

Rio de Janeiro - Pengundian grup babak kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2014 Brasil, telah selesai dilakukan, di Marina da Gloria, Rio De Janeiro, Sabtu (30/7/2011).

Dalam undian itu, Indonesia satu group dengan Iran, Qatar, dan Bahrain. Sementara Singapura yang beranda di group A harus bertempur melawan China, Yordania dan Irak.

Sedangkan Thailand untuk bisa lolos putaran final harus bisa menyingkirkan tim Australia, Arab Saudi dan Oman.

Sejauh ini tercata 46 negara anggota Assosiasi Sepak Bola Dunia (FIFA) Zona Asia. Namun yang ikut berpastrisipasi dalam kompetisi penyisihan atau pra kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2014hanya 43 negara. Sedangkan slot kuota untuk Asia ke putaran final Piala Dunia 2014 di Brasil adalah 4.5. Dalam hal ini diwakili oleh 4 negara, tambah 1 hasil play-off intercontinental.

Dengan demikian, sekarang ada 43 negara-negara Asia yang sedang berjuang untuk dapat meraih 4 tiket langsung ke putaran final Piala Dunia 2014 di Brasil, dan 1 tiket yang harus diperebutkan melalui babak play-off intercontinental. Bola.net - Timnas Indonesia kini harus mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapi babak ketiga, di babak ini Indonesia tergabung dalam Pot 4 bersama Korea Utara, Thailand, Singapuradan Lebanon.

Keberhasilan Indonesia ini diperoleh setelah berhasil mengalahkan Turkmenistan dengan skor 4-3, di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, Kamis (28/7). Sedangkan pengundian babak Kualifikasi Piala Dunia (PD) 2014, baru akan digelar pada 30 Juli.

Dalam laman resmi FIFA tersebut, penempatan pot dibagi berdasarkan peringkat FIFA yang dirilis beberapa hari yang lalu. Indonesia sebelumnya berada di peringkat ke-132, namun akhirnya menurun ke peringkat 137.

Jika mengukur kemampuan lawan-lawan yang kemungkinan dihadapi oleh Indonesia, skuad Garuda besar kemungkinan akan berhadapan dengan tim-tim raksasa Asia seperti Jepang, Australia, Korea Selatan, Iran dan China.

Namun, Indonesia tidak perlu berkecil hati, karena bukan tidak mungkin Indonesia mampu mengatasi semua lawan-lawannya, yang harus dilakukan oleh seluruh pemain Timnas Indonesia adalah berlatih dengan keras.

Selain itu fisik dan juga mental harus terus diperbaiki, sehingga tidak kedodoran di menit-menit akhir pertandingan dan juga tidak sering membuang-buang peluang karena terlalu bernafsu untuk mencetak gol. (esa/end)

Description

Version 1

Is the simplest version, allowing a default line break substring (#13#10 - Carriage return + line feed) to be inserted after each set of words fitting MaxColumnSize characters is encountered in the source string. If the max column size is omitted, it defaults to 45.

Version 2

Allows the inserted line break characters BreakString to be inserted after the occurence of a character in the BreakSet is encountered before MaxColumnSize is reached.

If none found BreakString is inserted anyway.

Description

Painting a Rich Edit control onto a bitmap for preview

The Rich Edit control (we a talking about standard Windows control, not a Delphi component) contains built-in printing features that can be used to send formatted text to the printer or to paint it's content onto any canvas with minimal effort from the programmer.
Of course, the standard Delphi TRichEdit component incapsulates this feature.
We can use this posibility to make a fast print preview with a scaling or drawing Rich Text on any Delphi control.
Drawing from a Rich Edit control to any canvas involves the use of the standard Rich Edit control message EM_FORMATRANGE.
The lParam parameter for this message is a pointer to the TFormatRange record.
This record have to be filled before sending the message to the RichEdit.
The TFORMATRANGE record contains information that a rich edit control uses to format its output for a particular device, where
hdc Device to render to.
hdcTarget Target device to format for.
rc Area to render to. Units are measured in twips. Twips are screen-independent units to ensure that the proportion of screen elements are the same on all display systems. A twip is defined as being 1/1440 of an inch.
rcPage Entire area of rendering device. Units are measured in twips.
chrg TCHARRANGE record that specifies the range of text to format.
This record usually is used with the EM_EXGETSEL and EM_EXSETSEL messages and includes two fields: cpMin and cpMax.

cpMin is a character position index immediately preceding the first character in the range.
cpMax is a character position immediately following the last character in the range.

But how to draw a Rich Text with the background image?
That is hopeless with the standard TRichedit control, because it based on the Windows control and have no provision to handle background bitmaps or transparency.
In this case we can use two different bitmaps for background and drawing the Rich Text and after combine them togehter.

Texture

Settingan disini akan berpengaruh pada kualitas grafik dari game....
Untuk "texture quality" set aja R8 G8 B8 A8 (paling bagus)

Untuk “texture filtering” pilih aja dulu “standard + smoothed sprites”, kalo ga sesuai silakan dicoba2 sendiri karena setiap game punya settingan yang paling sesuai. Perlu diingat tidak semua game mendukung filtering sehingga kadang2 muncul glitches, kalau terjadi seperti itu matikan “texture filtering”....

Untuk "Hi-Res textures" juga silakan dicoba2 sendiri.... sebagai contoh untuk crono chross kalo di set 2×sal muncul artifak2 hitam...sehingga lebih cocok kalo di set stretched

Framerate

Kalo mau melihat FPS selama dalam game centang “show FPS display on startup”
Karena komputer sekarang sdh lebih dari mampu menjalankan emulator ps sehingga biasanya framerate-nya bisa mencapai 100 lebih, centang “use fps limit” untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Set FPS limit 60 (standard) tapi biasanya gw set 70 biar cepet ...

FPS limit bisa dihilangkan dengan menekan “9” (default, bisa diubah dengan menset-nya melalui tombol yg dilingkari biru) sehingga berfungsi seperti tombol fast forward ... cocok untuk main game RPG karena battlenya bisa dipercepat kalo bosan .....

Compatibility

Set aja dulu sesuai gambar, settingan di sini juga spesifik untuk setiap game. Untuk kasus misalnya tidak ada battle menu di FF9 bisa disebabkan settingan di sini tidak sesuai....

Misc

Centang “special game fixes” dan klik tombol yang dilingkari merah, centang sesuai kebutuhan....tapi selama ini ga pernah gw pake...

Pete’s OpenGL

Konfigurasinya mirip dengan Pete’s DX6 D3D jadi sudah cukup jelas.....

Resolution & Colors

Centang “use window size in Fullscreen mode (Widescreen fix)” untuk para pengguna widescreen, ini mencegah gambar di stretch ke sisi kanan dan kiri secara berlebihan dengan memberi border hitam pada sisi kanan dan kiri

Untuk kebanyakan grafik card gunakan settingan “high” untuk “internal X resolution” dan “very high” untuk “internal Y resolution”. Untuk settingan yang lebih tinggi diperlukan setidaknya Geforce 6xxx/7xxx atau ATI 1xxx

Untuk “stretching mode” pilih aja “stretch to full window size” atau km bisa gunakan mode yang lain...settingan ini hanya mengontrol bagaimana gambar akan di stretch pada display monitor...

“Render mode” hanya mengatur plugin bagaimana bekerja secara internal, output untuk semua mode sama tetapi tergantung juga pada hardware kadang2 ada mode yang tidak bekerja sama sekali...

TIPS
Jika plugin crashed pada startup, coba ganti “Render mode” dengan yang lain, disable pixel shader option dan turunkan “internal X/Y resolutions”...

Textures

1. First thing first you need to extract the plugins to plugins folder

2. Extract the BIOS to BIOS folder

3. Run ePSXe.exe and you will find open window like this:

4. Now, you need to set up for Video, sound, cdrom ,BIOS, and Memory Cards. Select config and you'll find dropdown menu like this:

a. Choose plugin you want to use:

Please note, you must be right at configuring the drive letter. For example, your DVD ROM is (F: ) and your virtual drive is (G: ). If you choose to use virtual drive, then you need to choose (G: ) and vice versa.

8. BIOS. Select Config-->BIOS
Press select and then locate where the BIOS folder and choose one of the BIOS you wat to use

9. Memory Cards. Select Config-->Memory Cards
Press select then locate where you want to store the virtual memory cards file.

It usually store at memcards folder at ePSXe directory folder, like this:

choose epsxe000.mcr for Memory Cards 1 and epsxe001.mcr for Memory Cards 2.

10. Gamepad.
If you have gamepad for PC, you can use it to play instead using keyboard. Just go to Config-->Gamepad-->Port1-->Pad 1

Configure it! First you need to click the button showned at the display then you must press the coressponding button at your game pad. Below the example, if you use gamepad with vibration feature:

11. Play the game!
a. First insert the game CdRom or mount it at your virtual drive.

b. Choose File-->Run CDROM

12. Save State function.
You can use Save State rather than save at virtual memory cards. The benefit is, This Is Actually Save Anywhere Function, so you can save it anywhere an load right at the place you save. Pretty usefull function, huh?

Balapan MotoGP Italia yang berlangsung selama 23 lap di Sirkuit Mugello, Minggu (3/7/2011), berlangsung seru dengan diwarnai aksi susul menyusul di barisan depan, tengah maupun belakang.

Setelah tertinggal di lebih dari 75 persen balapan, Lorenzo berhasil menyalip Stoner. Hingga bendera finis dikibarkan, posisi terdepan pembalap Yamaha itu tidak tergoyahkan.

Stoner malah harus menerima nasib cuma finis di posisi ketiga karena pembalap Honda itu disalip rekan setimnya, Andrea Dovizioso, di lap terakhir balapan.

Peristiwa dramatis lainnya adalah ketika Ben Spies yang menggeber Yamaha menyusul Marco Simoncelli (Honda Gresini) tepat sebelum garis finis untuk menduduki posisi finis keempat.

Pembalap tuan rumah yang membela Ducati, Valentino Rossi, sempat memberi harapan dengan merangkak dari posisi 12 ke depan. Namun pada akhirnya, The Doctor harus puas finis di posisi enam.
